Costumes

My most recent work in progress

I've been working on a costume for the masquerade at Toronto Trek 16, July 2002. The costume is a recreation of the Chiana costume from Farscape. It is the outfit she wears from when she appears towards the end of season one till the beginning/middle of season two.

Well the convention weekend is now over, and I've got good news. My costume with a few touch ups before hand looked even better than the original test run. I was very pleased with the results. In the masquerade I won for "Inovation in Construction" in the workmanship judging and "Best Media Presentation" in the Journeyman category. I'm quite pleased with the work I've done and I already look forward to my next project, whatever that may be.

These are some intial pics of my costume, Enjoy!!

And for something a little artsy looking!

This is what it looks like before it's all put together.

The Chiana top in progress

The Chiana vest, the vest and top together

After the work I had already put into the costume, I realized I really didn't like the way the top and pants looked, so I re-did them, I used a heavy weight grey yarn instead which looks much better!
